You are also not advised to use whitening products immediately because it may lead to skin irritation.

Whitening and exfoliating products may be used 3 days to 1 week after sunburn (depends on your skin recovery). You should be very careful and gentle when using exfoliating products for a maximum of 3 minutes. You may also need to stop using acne products because they usually contain exfoliating ingredients.

Q6: Skin Lightening after Sunburn

Skin is darken by both UVA and UVB. UVA darkens your skin quickly in 1 to 2 hours. On the other hand, skin is darken by UVB in 2 to 3 days. Skin cells are irritated after sunburn. Such irritated skin cells stimulate the production of melanin. The melanin and pigments in skin move to the top layer of skin in 3 to 7 days under normal skin metabolism. So, you may gently exfoliate your skin and apply whitening products afterwards. For better results, you may apply whitening essence and mask at night. Cute Black and White Ribbon

1 Base coat
1 White nail polish
1 Black nail polish
1 Top coat
1 Dotting pen

Step 1: Neaten the shape of your nails and apply a layer of base coat after that.

Step 2: Apply 1 to 2 layers white nail polish to all your nails. Allow sufficient times (around 20 to 30 minutes) for them to dry completely.

Step 3: Apply a wave of black nail polish to your nail (at 1/3 of your nail) according to the photo with a small nail brush.

Step 4: Fill up the nail below black wave with black nail polish.

Step 5: Repeat for all other fingernails. Allow sufficient times (around 20 to 30 minutes) for them to dry completely.

Step 6: Draw 3 dots on each nail according to the photo with the dotting pen.

Step 7: Draw a ribbon with the black nail polish on every nail. You can image that you are drawing 2 triangles and then link the 2 triangles together. It will be easier!

I always love the black and purple color and rose from Anna Sui. But, as I know, there is no nail foil from Anna Sui. So, I have DIY this myself. I am so excited coz it looks so much like a perfect nail foil on my nails! Hope you will try this!

Anna Sui Rose

1 Base coat
1 White nail polish
1 Rose pink nail polish
1 Purple nail polish
1 Black nail polish
1 Light green nail polish
1 Dark green nail polish
1 Gold glitter nail polish
1 Top coat

Step 1: Neaten the shape of your nails and apply a layer of base coat after that.

Step 2: Apply 1 to 2 layers black nail polish to the top part all your nails according to the photo. Allow sufficient times (around 20 to 30 minutes) for them to dry completely. It does not really matter if the finishing is not perfect. We can cover that with the gold glitter nail polish later.

Step 3: Apply a drop of white nail polish to your nail according to the photo.

Step 4: Apply a drop of rose pink nail polish on top of the drop of white polish (without drying) immediately.

Step 5: Gently stir the white and rose pink nail polish with a toothpick in clockwise direction. Now, you can see a pink rose!

Step 6: Repeat Step 4 and Step 5 with white and purple nail polish.

Step 7: Draw leaves with light green nail polish. Draw the leaf vein with dark green nail polish and a toothpick. Apply a line of gold glitter nail polish according to the picture.

Hi guys, I will demonstrate a Leopard Camouflage nail art this time. This nail art is slightly more difficult to do compared to the previous 8 tutorials. Usually, I draw patterns on nails, I have stuck some bling bling on thumb’s and ring finger’s nails this time. So, it is more eye-catching! It should be easy enough to follow my steps with photos,hope you love this design!

Leopard Bling Bling Camouflage

You will need:
1 Base coat
1 Lime green nail polish
1 Seafoam blue nail polish
1 Dark green nail polish
1 Top coat

Step 1: Neaten the shape of your nails and apply a layer of base coat after that.

Step 2: Apply 1 to 2 layers lime green nail polish to all your nails. Allow sufficient times (around 20 to 30 minutes) for them to dry completely.

Step 3: Draw small and irregular seafoam blue dots randomly on your nails. Remember to leave some space for dark green nail polish later.

Step 4: Leave a bit of dark green nail polish on a piece of card paper.

Step 5: Use the brush to apply 2 or 3 dots of dark green nail polish around each seamfoam blue dot.

You will have your nails look like this now:

Step 6: Draw a cross on thumb’s and ring finger’s nails.

Step 7: Draw another cross thumb’s and ring finger’s nails.

Step 8: Stick some bling bling along the lines.

Step 9: Apply a layer of top coat.

Hi guys, do you know that makeup does expire? I did not pay attention to the expiry issue of makeup when I first started using makeup. I just throw away the empty containers when I have used up all the makeup. One day, I found a small pack of eyeshadow which I have not used for over 2 years. I started to think about: Does Cosmetics Expire?

Actually, every kind of makeup has their own shelf life. Though you may not experience skin irritation immediately after using expired makeup, they definitely cause damage to your skin (over time). So, it is good to know about their shelf lives.

Foundation: 6-12 Months

One of my friends has used her foundation for almost 18 months and she still feels good about its quality and texture. I just say: that’s so lucky of you. Most foundation expires in 6 to 12 months. The shelf life of powder foundation may be longer. Bacteria may grow quickly in liquid and cream foundations. These bacteria may cause changes in color and smell when the foundation expires.

Concealer:6-12 Months

The shelf life of an unused concealer may reach 2 to 4 years. Once it is opened and used, it starts becoming dry, agglomerative and smelly. I will throw away any remaining concealer after I have opened it for a year.

Eyeliner Gel and Liquid Eyeliner: 3 Months Eyeliner Pencil: 1 Year

Eye makeup products normally do not have long shelf lives. You may notice that most of them become dry and hard after a period of time. White spots on eyeliner pencil or brush and easy smudge are signs of expiry. The shelf lives of liquid eyeliner and eyeliner pencil do not exceed 6 months and 12 months normally.

Mascara: 3-6 Months

Many of my friends agree that mascara has the shortest shelf life among all the makeup products. It is true because the chemicals in mascara are most unstable. Dryness and smell are signs of expiry.

Cream Eyeshadow: 6 Months Powder Eyeshadow: 2 Years

The shelf life a powder eyeshadow is much longer than that of a cream eyeshadow. It is easier to notice the expiry of powder eyeshadow. If there are significant color change and waxy residues in the powder eyeshadow, you may need to throw them away.

Loose Powder: 6-24 Months

Makeup with powder texture usually has longer shelf life than those with liquid and cream texture. But, it is also difficult to notice if the product has expired. The easiest test is to see if there are any residues.

Rouge: 2 Years

Rouge is an essential makeup product for every woman. Most people believe rough has a long shelf life. Though the its shelf life may be as long as 2 years, it’s water content may easily condemned by bacteria. If you find your rouge dry and smelly, it may have expired. Well, I suggest you using it as a color pencil instead.

Vampire makeup has alwayws been very popular, especially during halloween and after the movie “Twilight” has shown. The vampire makeup idea that I show you below is not a dramatic one, but a beautiful vampire. You can certainly achieve the vampire effect and yet look perfectly beautiful!

Doing this makeup is not really difficult. I would say you only need to focus on the eye and lip makeup actually. I have shown you pictures on those important and essential steps. Hope you find it easy to follow and do this makeup!

First we need to apply makeup, shadings and highlights on our face.

Step 1: Apply foundation to your whole face with a foundation brush

Step 2: Sculpt your face with shading (2 to 3 shades darker than your foundation)
Apply the shading powder under your brow bone, along the side of your nose and jaw bone

Step 3: Trim you eyebrows into suitable shape if they are too long

Step 4: Apply gold (light brown) eyebrow gel to your eyebrows

Now, we do our eye makeup.

Step 5: Apply light grey eyeshadow to your eyelid and lower lash line. Apply dark grey eyeshadow on your mobile lid from the outer eye corner to the centre of your eyelid.

Step 6: Apply red eyeshadow on your lower lashline (more on the outer eye corner). Apply eyeliner and false eyelashes (both upper and lower lash line).

Finally, we will finish the Vampire makeup with a deep reddish black lip makeup.

Step 7: Use eyeliner pencil to darken your lips.

Step 8: Then apply red lipstick to your lips to get a very special mix of black and red color.

Smokey eye makeup is always my favourite because it is easy to do and it just makes me look gorgeous. Cherry Pie

You will need:
1 Base coat
1 Red nail polish
1 Nude nail polish
1 Top coat

Step 1: Neaten the shape of your nails and apply a layer of base coat after that.

Step 2: Apply 1 to 2 layers red nail polish to all your nails. Allow sufficient times (around 20 to 30 minutes) for them to dry completely. Draw 3 straight lines according to the picture on your nails, using the nude nail polish and a fine nail brush.

Step 3: Draw the other 3 straight lines according to the picture on your nails, using the nude nail polish and a fine nail brush. The 6 lines form a perfect rhombus pattern.

Step 4: Repeat step 2 and step 3 for other fingers.

Step 5: Apply a layer of top coat.
