How to Apply and Remove False Eyelashes

in Eyelashes, False Eyelashes, False Eyelashes, Makeup Tutorial

False eyelashes is one of my favourite cosmetics because they make my eyes look bigger and more beautiful. If your eyelashes are short, pale or thin eyelashes, you must learn how to apply false eyelashes. False eyelashes help create a very different look which  mascara cannot. Besides, they are less expensive and safer compared to implantation of eyelashes and eyelashes perm. False eyelashes allow minimal damages to your delicate eyelashes while giving you the best effect.

How to Apply False Eyelashes Like a Professional

Step 1: Clean your eyes thoroughly before you have actually done anything on you eyelashes. If you have oil or other make-up debris on your eyelid or upper lashline, it will be difficult to allow the eyelash glue to work well.

Step 2: Curl your real eyelashes with an eyelash curler. If you find that your real eyelashes actually grow unevenly or hard, you may wish to curl them for several times. Make sure your real eyelashes are really curly, so that they look really natural when you have applied you false eyelashes on.

Step 3: Take your fake eyelashes out carefully with your fingers. Hold the two ends of the false eyelashes and bend them for around 10 times to make them soft and look more natural.

Step 4: Most of false eyelashes that you can buy from stores are simply too long. Place the false eyelashes on your eyelid and measure the length that you need. Trim the false eyelashes with respect to the length of you own eyes.

Tips: Trimming them to the length 2-3mm longer than you actual eye length gives you the best effect.

Step 5: Apply a thin layer of eyelash glue to base of the false eyelashes. (Please do not try to apply the glue directly onto your eyelid!) I personally prefer brush-on eyelash glue as it is easier to control the amount. You may use a toothpick to help if you are using the squeezing the eyelash glue.

Tips: You may wish to apply a liitle bit more on the two ends of the false eyelashes as they may fall easily from you eyelid.

Tips: You can at this point bend the fake eyelashes a little bit more (again) to make it softer.

Step 6: Now you need the help with the mirror! Bring the false eyelashes to your lashline as close as possible, and then first apply middle part of false eyelashes to your upper lash line, then the end (outer corner of your eyes) and finally inner eye corner. Press and hold a little bit during the applying.

Tips: If you find the two ends fall, you can use toothpick to help apply more glue onto the false eyelashes.

Step 6: If you are new to false eyelashes, you may cut the false eyelashes into 3 pieces. Apply piece by piece.

Look into the mirror again and adjust a bit the false eyelashes to make them look good and natural just before the glue has completely dried up.

Tips: It is best to have your mirror at your eye level and fix your elbow joint on the table.

Step 7: Finally, hold the eyelashes (especially the two ends) for a little longer (around 30 seconds) when the false eyelashes have been finished applying.

Step 7: To embellish you false eyelashes, you may wish to curl your false eyelashes and your real eyelashes together at the same time, apply your eyeliner and even mascara (optional).

Tips on How to Apply Fake Eyelashes Naturally

You can even use only half-piece of the false eyelashes buy cutting them into two. You can put the trimmed fake eyelashes on every part like the outer corner or the center of your lashline of your eyes to enhance your eye look. Two simple tips:

  1. If you want to have your eyes looked closer to each other, apply only part of the piece of the false eyelashes.
  2. If you want to have your eyes looked apart, apply only part of the piece of the false eyelashes at the outer corner.

To apply your false eyelashes naturally, take a look at the following tips:false eyelashes 005

  1. As the ends of the false eyelashes are easy to fall, so use a little bit more glue on the base of the false eyelashes ends.
  2. Let no glue get onto the false eyelashes (except the base).
  3. The glue on the false eyelashes works the best when it is nearly dry, so roughly wait for around 20 (depends on your type of eyelash glue) seconds.
  4. Just nearly the glue is on the false eyelashes base is going to dry, pull a little the false eyelashes to make it softer.
  5. Look into the mirror, adjust the angle of the false eyelashes before you actually applied them.
  6. Apply the false eyelashes to the upper lashline as close as possible.
  7. Use your hands to hold the false eyelashes for around 30 seconds (depends on your type of eyelash glud) after you have just applied.
  8. If you find the ends falling, that means the glue is not enough, you can use the toothpick to dip some glue and apply them onto the ends, then apply the false eyelashes again.
  9. We normally do not have eyelasehes grown at the inner corner, when applying the false eyelashes, leave 1mm space for the inner corner.

REMEMBER! The glue works best when it is nearly dry and if you apply the false eyelasehes at this right time, the glue is colorless and that gives you the best effect. If you apply the eyelashes too early before the glue is nearly dry, it is very difficult to get the false eyelashes sticked to the upper lashline. When you repeat the procedures again several times as the eyelashes fall, the glue can become white, and then you must put on your eyeliner to cover.

If your eyelashes are short and pale, you may find mascara cannot give you the glamorous look that you want, and therefore, false eyelashes are your good friends which allow you to have a subtle change or even a dramatic change.

Before applying the false eyelashes, the most important procedure is to choose the best false eyelashes for yourself. Type and color are the two main factors that you should consider.

How to Remove False Eyelashes

Many of the fake eyelashes are actually reusable (5-8 times) but unluckily they are frail and fragile, so you must handle them with care or you will have to buy new ones very often, which cost you.  Here are some tips for taking good care of you false eyelashes:

  1. When you take it out from the box, never try to hold it from the base.
  2. Take it out with your fingers gently in the direction of the eyelashes.
  3. When you take the fake eyelashes off from your eyes, hold the middle part of the false eyelashes and pull them slightly but quickly.
  4. Never try to hold just two or three piece s of eyelashes.

Before you have put them back into the box, you should clean them thoroughly all the glue or adhesive, eye shadow, and Mascara from the false eyelashes or otherwise they will be easily broken and of course filthy.

How to Choose the Best False Eyelashes

There are many different types, different length and different colors of false eyelashes that you can buy. Which one you should choose?false eyelashes 002

The most common three types of false eyelashes, including the ones with the false eyelashes are in parallel, the ones that the false eyelashes are crossed and the ones with sequin, etc. As normally, you do not want it too obvious that you are wearing false eyelashes, so it is always best for you to choose thickness that is similar to your real eyelashes unless you are going to a party where you are expecting to have an exaggerated look.

Make sure your eye make up matches what you wear. For example, never wear a thick exaggerated eyelashes when you are in a dark formal shift dress.

The most common colors of false eyelashes no doubt are black and brown with other colorful false eyelashes getting more and more popular. Like the type of false eyelashes, you r choice of color should be similar to your real eyelashes.

Embellish you false eyelashes

When you have applied false eyelashes above your eyelashes, you should use mascara for the lower lashes in order to get the same tone。 Or, you can choose to use eyeliner pencil to draw the unobvious shadow of the lower lashes and spread with your fingertips a little bit.

I heard that Castor Oil is good for eyelashes. Can someone say how to use it? I’m young and I have no experience in cosmetic industry.

Hi Annabelle

Castor oil, oliver oil and almond oil are good for eyelashes. They can make your eyeleshes thicker and longer. You can apply such oil to your eyelashes with a cotton bud from the root of them.

Do not apply more than twice a day as they can be oily for your sensitive eye skin.

I had got a desire to start my own organization, but I did not have enough amount of cash to do that. Thank God my colleague recommended to take the business loans. Thence I used the student loan and made real my dream.
